No Known Lifesigns

Financial Officer Rhoda Hamilton wakes up alone in her office. 

The lunar mining station she works at is deserted and wrecked, silent but for a distant scratching and the repeating robotic drones of the AI system AMY announcing NO KNOWN LIFESIGNS

Why isn't she being detected? 

What happened to the rest of her crew?

What is the UNKNOWN LIFESIGN that's suddenly appeared?

... why is she no longer suffocating?

Would you believe this story was originally set in a gothic town when I first thought of it? Don't know how I made the jump to space but I'm happy with how it turned out. I haven't done much sci-fi, in fact this is the first sci-fi story I've posted here on itch (there are 2 on my wordpress blog but I'm not sure yet if I'll be uploading them here). I had originally tried to shop this around to magazines and websites to see if I can get it published professionally (as my new years resolution is try getting more published) but I've had rejections from the several places I've tried and decided to just self-publish as I feel bad not putting anything here in a while (plus I feel better being able to put stuff up here).
